Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis has existed since the beginning of time, is completely natural & is merely a state of focused attention or absorption

We can all enter hypnosis three ways -  in a naturalistic way, via self-hypnosis or through facilitated hypnosis. If you've ever become so absorbed in a book or movie that you're completely immersed in the characters & their emotions, or you've driven somewhere & can't recall the journey when you arrive, you have achieved naturalistic hypnosis or trance. And we've all done that! Many people have mastered self-hypnosis to alleviate stress or pain, to put themselves into a confident state of mind, to relax or even to achieve an important task. We actually allow our environment, beliefs & self-talk to self-hypnotise us each & every day - & not always to our benefit! Facilitated hypnosis will often feel as though you are in a deeply relaxed state while still being able to hear everything that's being said to you. Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP uses perceptual, behavioural & communication techniques to make it easier for people to change their thoughts & actions. It is a set of mind-tools, based upon transformational language, that was created in the 1970s as an alternative psychology.

In a therapeutic context NLP is an extraordinarily effective method of changing the way people deal with problems, how they create solutions & to lift them from states of helplessness to empowerment

Many NLP processes work simultaneously with the conscious & subconscious minds but effectively implement change at the subconscious level.

    Thought Field Therapy

    Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on energy fields within the body. It rapidly reduces psychological distress and negative emotions by balancing the bodies energy system, leading to natural healing and improved mental health. It has been successfully utilised in treating a wide variety of issues, ranging from anxiety to trauma, PTSD, addictions, weight management, stress and depression. 

    TFT is based on the premise that energy flows along pathways (meridians) in our bodies and when blockages occur in these pathways we experience physical and/or mental health issues. By tapping on particular meridians in a specific order, blockages can be released and health improved. This technique for decoding the psychological distress within our body's energy system was developed by Psychologist, Roger Callahan, in the 1980s and is the original version of tapping.  

    This therapy is a powerful technique on its own and when used in conjunction with Hypnosis and NLP, the impact of each modality is elevated exponentially.
